Florida Traffic Ticket Dismissal Attorney
There are essentially three possible outcomes when you are cited for a traffic offense: dismissal, adjudication withheld, or guilty. At the law firm of Ferrer Shane, our goal is to get your ticket dismissed outright.
We can't promise a specific result, but our lawyers have years of focused representation in this area of the law, and we have helped thousands of clients in Miami-Dade County and South Florida escape the worst consequences of traffic violations, from minor infractions to criminal traffic offenses.

Possible Outcomes of Your Traffic Ticket
Dismissal — If you challenge your traffic citation and win, it will not go on your record. This avoids the fines, points against your driver's license, and potential increase in your car insurance rates. A judge can dismiss tickets on statutory merits, for evidence of errors or violations of your rights, or if the law enforcement officer or trooper does not show up at your hearing. The county Clerk of Court can also dismiss certain infractions.
Adjudication withheld — In exchange for pleading no contest to a ticket and agreeing to pay fines or court costs, an offense may be kept off of your record. Essentially, the ticket is dismissed after a specific period of time if you stay clean. The most common penalty with withheld adjudication is the imposition of Court costs and occasionally, traffic school, but you can only invoke that option once in a 12-month period and five times ever.
Guilty — When you pay a traffic ticket, you are pleading guilty to the offense. The offense stays on your record for at least three years, and carries a certain point value toward license suspension. We advise never to pay a citation or admit to a traffic offense as charged, especially without knowing all of the ramifications.
It is very rare that you will suffer the full penalties by contesting your traffic ticket in Court. Our experienced attorneys can usually get tickets reduced to a lower-point or no-point offense, get fines waived or reduced, or otherwise obtain a favorable and cost-effective result.
